Founded in 1993, Prolicht’s first years were spent in the research and development phase with focus on retail lighting and special solutions for architects. 2002 marked Prolicht’s entrance to the lighting industry with their first showcase at Light + Building, featuring high flexibility lighting solutions using minimalistic aluminum profiles.
The company then led the trimless lighting category with SIGN Trimless and WHITELINE Trimless. In 2006, Prolicht attracted much attention at Light+Building with its UFO shaped booth, as well as its new flexible wall profile system, NEVERENDING.
By collaborating with architects and industry professionals, Prolicht developed its signature 25 standard colors with the slogan “Color Your Light” in 2010. In 2012, Prolicht’s masterpiece series GROOVE and GLORIOUS were launched. The usage of the curves as their dominant stylistic device, enabled multi-coloured design and opened up the rear diffuser to create a new style in profile lighting.
