The Nove+Crespano is one of our smaller table lamps, yet it still offers a tall, elegant presence. Its design features subtle twists in the bottom sphere and a sleek rectangular form, making it a perfect choice for those looking to add a touch of artistry to smaller spaces. The adjustable lampshade, when paired with the smaller option, makes it an ideal reading lamp.
Named after Nove, the town where our ceramic atelier is based, and Crespano, a nearby town where artist Basso Pietrobon spent summers, the lamp reflects the charm of Veneto’s past. Like Venetian families who retreated to countryside villas in places like Crespano to connect with nature and escape the summer heat, this lamp brings a sense of refined simplicity and tranquility into any room.
The Fondamenta, named after the Venetian term for "foundation," is deeply rooted in the tradition and culture of Venice. This project explores the foundational elements of art—both the physical foundations of Venetian architecture and the cultural foundations that shape an artist's work. It reflects Jenna’s commitment to heritage and craftsmanship while reimagining how modern design can rest on these historical foundations. A key aspect of The Fondamenta Project is its collaborative nature. It offers a platform for other creatives to work alongside Jenna, co-creating custom, bespoke pieces. By opening her process to collaboration, Basso Pietrobon allows artists and designers from various fields to contribute their ideas, making each piece a unique expression of shared creativity. This project fosters a blend of traditions and new perspectives, resulting in custom works that embody both the individuality of each collaborator and the timeless elegance of Venetian craftsmanship.
