Drum is inspired by the unique shape of ethnic instruments and textile material using a metal frame and handmade braided cord for the lampshade. Drum promotes the use of different colors and custom sizes to complement the project needs. It is available in surface ceiling, suspension, and portable lamp applications, as well as a variety of different color finish options. Drum would be an ideal choice for spaces seeking a pop of textured color, such as a trendy bar or restaurant.
Like all of the lamps in the cord collection, Drum is produced with a polyester cord made from plastic bottles, some of them collected from the sea. This is part of a sustainability effort called "Oceans Without Plastic" with the goal of reducing the amount of plastic material in our environment, and instead reusing it by incorporating it into products that will have a long and useful life.
Drum is also available for outdoor use, with a version rated at IP66.
